MOXICAT Spot-On is a topical antiparasitic treatment for cats weighing under 8 kg. Each package contains 3 applicators, 0.8 ml each.
Each 0.8 ml applicator contains Imidacloprid 80 mg and Moxidectin 8 mg. MOXICAT is indicated for the treatment and prevention of flea infestations and for the treatment and control of several common feline parasites, including ear mites, notoedric mange, lungworm infections, eye worms, heartworm disease, and gastrointestinal nematodes.
The product can also be used as part of a treatment strategy for flea allergy dermatitis (FAD).
The recommended minimum doses are 10 mg/kg imidacloprid and 1 mg/kg moxidectin, equivalent to 0.1 ml/kg body weight. For cats weighing over 4–8 kg, the package dosage schedule specifies one 0.8 ml applicator. The treatment schedule should be determined according to the individual cat's veterinary diagnosis and the local epidemiological situation.
