PETGARD is indicated for the treatment and prevention of flea infestations and the treatment and control of tick infestations, including black-legged ticks, American dog ticks, brown dog ticks, Asian longhorned ticks, and lone star ticks. The package indicates use in dogs and puppies 6 months of age and older and weighing 2 kg or greater.
For dogs weighing 2–4.5 kg, the dosage shown on the package is one 45 mg chewable administered orally once a month with food, providing a minimum dose of 10 mg/kg fluralaner.
